Although our doors remain closed, the Historic Ute Theatre team is happy to host virtual events that aspire to Uplift, Transform, and Engage during these times! These events are made possible thanks to support from a Saguache County Sales Tax Grant as well as a 1st Southwest Community Fund Innovation Assistance Award.
Sunday, August 9, 1-4pm MT
Take an improv class online and expand your mind! Punch through your comfort zone or just learn to laugh at yourself (and others, of course). Improv increases the joy in your world, whether you’re playing, learning or watching it. In this workshop, we will giggle our way through a series of improv theater exercises & games for three hours of creativity and exploration.
· Disempower your inner critic; release untapped talent, brilliance, and humor
· Cast away doubt, pretense, and fear; feel comfortable outside your comfort zone
· De-activate your emotional reaction to failure; unleash personal joy and enable professional growth
· Establish a trusting, supportive, environment; build authentic connections
Participation is limited to 12 folks, so preregister by contacting us at info@historicutetheatre.com with your name and phone number, and we will contact you with more info.
ABOUT ZOOMPROV TEACHER: REBECCA BRADFORD
Fifteen years ago, Rebecca Bradford decided to take a beginner’s improv class at the encouragement of a friend. Little did she know that simple decision would lead to a new career and her creation of The Improv Collaborative, a vibrant, enthusiastic community of over 1,200 members, from beginners to honed professionals. During covid times, Rebecca has created an online form of improv she calls Zoomprov, hosting zoom-based Open Play nights and teaching improv classes to individuals and corporations. With ZOOMPROV, you'll find yourself both safe and cozy, and also adventurous and innovative. Fun!
