Born in Austria and known worldwide for her role in steamy Czech film Ecstasy and her feature in numerous Hollywood films during the 1930s and 40s, Hedy Lamarr would be later recognized for her contributions to what would later set the foundations for modern WiFi. She was posthumously inducted into the Inventor’s Hall of Fame.
