MUSICAL PERFORMANCE with Liangyeh Tai
"Music & Poetry Inspired by Inner and Outer Landscapes"

Taiwanese-born pianist, vocalist, and workshop facilitator, Liangyeh Tai will bring an evening of sublime inspirations from around the globe to the Historic Ute Theatre. Piano music by Bach, Chopin, Debussy, Satie, Santore, Cage, Ginastera; songs from Taiwan and Brazil; poetry by Mary Oliver and Rumi. The audience will also be invited to participate in an experience called "embodied toning" to create a unique soundscape.
LIANGYEH TAI BIO:
Liangyeh Tai facilities heart-centered and empowered self expressions in her work with
audiences, students, and workshop participants. Growing up in Taiwan until age 15,
Liangyeh studied both traditional Chinese and Western classical music.
She trained at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City
and the Hartt School of Music in Connecticuit. After performing throughout Europe and
New England, a health crisis made her pause and rediscover the healing
power of music. Since then, she has facilitated creative music healing workshops in
hospitals, schools, and wellness-focused communities. Liangyeh is currently in a two-
year Professional Training in Hakomi Somatic Psychotherapy. She lives in Boulder with
her daughter and cats.
